Absolute shame on the PCB and Mohsin Naqvi for complaining about the Imran Khan's sons interview on Sky Sports yesterday and even considering not taking the field. In my very short broadcasting career, this is one of the most unprofessional pieces of work I have seen.

He is a legend of Pakistan cricket. You should be proud to see a former Test legend of your country being featured on international media during the lunch break of a Test at Lords. Instead, you turned a perfectly normal broadcast interview into a needless controversy, as if something seriously wrong had happened.

When 21 former international captains called for better treatment of Imran Khan on humanitarian grounds and because of his undeniable contribution to the world of cricket, we saw no Pakistani players or captains among them. Fair enough, we all know they were under immense pressure of the system. But if international greats of the game feel the need to stand up for one of Pakistan’s greatest cricketers, what exactly is the problem?

With the backing of the government at a time like this, the PCB should be protecting the dignity and image of Pakistan cricket, not allowing personal grudges and ego to bring yet another embarrassment to the country.

And if you had that much of a problem with the interview, you should have had the guts to stand by your stance and not take the field. Pathetic stuff.
